My monthly grocery shopping trip at @aldiusa

by - August 12, 2016

I have been trying to do my grocery shopping once a month in ONE trip! I was inspired by my frugal friend  to try monthly meal plans and that was my go at it.

She does hers and it breaks down to about $64 a week. That's what I was going for but it seems like people eat more in the summer. I was able to do mine for $81 a week, I did splurge on non-essential stuff. In overall I'm pleased that I was even able to pack my fridge with a month worth of food, and I didn't make any extra run to the store.

Now let me tell you about my new fave organic brand, "Simply Nature" I usually would have to make an extra trip to my the organic store to get these stuff. I'm really particular about things like ketchup, mayo, milk because we consume these stuff in great quantity.

My kids put ketchup on everything! and something about organic mayo... it just tastes better. I usually get my mayo from trader joes, so I was a bit skeptical about this new one but it was on point.

I can't believe I have three Aldi near me I have never really shopped there. They have tons of affordable organic whole food!

Fruits and veggie galore! Avocados, mangoes, and pineapple three of my absolute favorite.

I even got Petey's food there and he likes it. Petey is my dog and he is the pickiest dog on the planet! I have a five hundred dollars vet bill to prove it.

So when he eats a new food at first try it means a lot.

On my next trip, I'm aiming for the $64 a week mark. I will let you guys know how it goes!

  1. Ah! Love Aldi! We pretty much exclusively shop there to save money. Our family of 5 spends about 375/ month on groceries, which I think is great
