Homemade Cinnamon Pancakes Syrup

by - April 12, 2016

 Hola chicas,
Saturday morning at my house is pancake day. We hardly get to eat breakfast in the morning (read never) so on Saturday I like to make an effort to do so. Except today, we ran out of syrup, my little bug suggested I made some.
I've never done that before, but I figure syrup is nothing but butter and sugar, if I added some yummy spices in it, it should work.

And it totally did!

The syrup was such a hit I had to make more pancakes. The girls said it was the best pancakes syrup they've ever had. I'll take their words for it.

Here's what I use

2 tablespoons of butter
4 tablespoon of water
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 a teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
1 sticks of cinnamon

For your convenience here are the amazon links for the stuff you will need. You're welcome! they are affiliate links so Thank you! :-)
cinnamon sticks
brown sugar
Nutmeg
pumpkin spice

Directions

Melt the butter on low heat, gradually add the brown sugar then the spices, stir constantly until it gets syrupy.

Then drizzle on pancakes and inhale just like my kids do or you can chew like a normal person!

PS: Small disclaimer, the syrup turn to hard candy when cold, unless you want to make hard candy.
