Faith in the midst of uncertainty
A year ago, I lost my job, I never thought this could happen.
I mean losing a job... I know it could happen but not able to find a job for a year? I thought maybe I could be out for four months' top.
I was definitely not ready for that.
I shared a video sharing my experiences here like I mention in there this year has been one scary teacher!
What I learned
- I learned that practicing what you preach is NOT easy!
I would be the first to encourage someone in my position with something like "The job is NOT your source, God is your source He will provide! Don't worry, just have faith" I found out the application of this truth is much harder than just saying it.
Oh, I worry! I worry a lot, Sometimes I even wonder if I have any faith left but all in all God's words remain faithful and true. He is Jehovah Jireh! He is my provider and He doesn't sleep on the job.
I have food on the table, I have a roof over my head, my bills are paid, my little hobby is even blooming into a business!
God is Good!
Ps 37:25 " I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread."
- I learned how important it is to always have a side hustle!
We can't all quit our job to go start businesses but it is wise to have something besides the 9-5 in your hands.
Exodus 31:3-4 "...and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—4 to make artistic designs..."
We all have our gift for something, find yours and cultivated it. You never know when your artistic hobby may become what God uses to bless you.
